About the role

We are seeking an experienced Gas Responsible Person to join a defence contract at RAF Brize Norton. This is a standout opportunity for a seasoned commercial gas engineer ready to step into a leadership role - taking ownership of gas safety compliance, managing a team of engineers, and acting as the on-site technical authority for all gas-related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a team of gas engineers
• Act as primary point of contact for all gas-related matters
• Carry out regular inspections and compliance audits
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Conduct risk assessments and develop action plans
• Lead, mentor and develop junior engineers
• Collaborate with departments and contractors on-site

What we're looking for

• Proven commercial gas engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of gas safety standards and regulations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage a team and work under pressure
• Sharp attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Eligible for SC security clearance

Desirable qualifications

• Gas Safe registered
• Previous experience in a defence or high-security environment
• Relevant management or leadership qualifications
